On August 3, the 2023 China Automobile Intelligent Experience Research SM (TXI) report showed that the TXI brand innovation index in 2023 was 528 points, an increase of 23 points from 2022 and a record high. Among them, the TXI innovation index of new energy vehicles and traditional energy vehicles is 556 points and 519 points respectively, and the gap between the two has widened from 27 points in 2022 to 37 points, and the advantages of new energy vehicles on the intelligent track have been further consolidated.
The report was officially released by J.D. Power (Jundi), a consumer insight and market research organization, on the 3rd. This study measured the quality feedback and user experience of new owners of fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles with a vehicle ownership period of 2 to 6 months on 30 advanced technology configurations and 8 basic technology configurations, comprehensively considering the advanced configuration assembly rate and The utilization rate performance calculates the brand innovation index (based on 1000 points), and evaluates the overall innovation ability of the automobile brand.
Research shows that in the TXI innovation index of China's auto industry in 2023, the market depth index, which measures the overall penetration rate of advanced configurations, also broke new highs, reaching 151 points, an increase of 31 points from the previous year; the functional performance index, which measures the power of advanced technology configuration products, is 854 points, up 25 points from 2022. It reflects that the high penetration rate of intelligent configuration at the emerging stage can bring a greater competitive advantage to manufacturers, but while user configuration perception improves, the functional performance of advanced configuration is also improving.
In addition, the overall quality performance of intelligent configurations has steadily improved: in the context of rising market depth and continuous penetration of configurations, the number of problems with advanced technology configurations in the industry as a whole will drop from 32.4 PP100 (problems per 100 vehicles) in 2022 to 30.1 PP100. Among them, the PP100 of smart cockpit advanced technology configuration dropped from 27.1 to 23.9, and the PP100 of smart driving advanced technology configuration dropped from 16.4 to 10.8.
According to J.D. Power, in this year's research on new car purchase intentions, the weight of the impact of intelligent experience on consumers' car purchases has increased from 12% last year to 14%, reflecting the transformation and upgrading of the Chinese auto market. Smart cars are becoming an important choice for consumers when buying cars.
The 2023 China Automobile Intelligent Experience Research covers 230 traditional energy models of 48 brands and 76 new energy models of 36 brands. The data collection work will be carried out from December 2022 to May 2023 in 81 major Chinese cities.
